Halvorsen’s OT Winner Makes it 7 Straight Wins

The Selkirk Steelers continued their 3 games in 3 days road trip when they faced OCN for game #2. Ryan Piwniuk scored 1:56 into the game to put the Steelers up by 1. Brendan Hill would follow that up to go up 2-1, when OCN scored late in the frame to head into the second period by a score of Steelers 2, OCN 1.

Second period would see Connor Barley score his league-leading 27th goal of the season to put the Steel up 3-1 heading into the final frame. 3rd period would see OCN score twice to tie the game at 3’s to force overtime. Nate Halvorsen wouldn’t take long to ensure a W scoring 18 seconds into OT to seal it. Zachary Bennett saved 17 of 20 shots to get his 4th straight win. The Steelers have now won 7 straight games on this current streak.
