Dustin is entering his second season as head coach of the Steelers after guiding the team to a 39 win season and 29 point increase in the standings. He spent time as an assistant coach with the Steelers during the 2013/14 season and the Winnipeg Saints during the 2010/11 season. He won two provincial championships with the Winnipeg Wild as an assistant coach. Dustin is also the head instructor/teacher for the Garden City Collegiate Hockey Skills Academy. Prior to coaching, he played professionally in Europe as well as for the University of Manitoba Bisons. Dustin played with the Steelers during the 2003/04 season where they captured the MJHL championship and he was named playoff MVP. Dustin lives in Winnipeg with his wife Jenny, son (Hudson), and daughter (Harper).
Beau comes to the Steelers program with plenty of experience working with athletes in multiple sports. An advocate for overall athlete development, he will work with our players behind the scenes in maximizing their athletic potential. Beau holds numerous certifications which include Certified Functional Strength Coach Level 1, Functional Movement Screen Level 1, as well as Strongfirst Girya Level 1. He is excited to be joining the Steelers organization.
ASSISTANT / VIDEO COACH
Nick grew up in and played his minor hockey in the Eastman region, winning a provincial midget championship in 2001-2002. Following that he played 4 years in the MJHL and is proud to be part of the Steelers Alumni. He has coached at the bantam aaa and midget levels the past 5 seasons and last year was the Steelers area scout in MB. Nick is thrilled to be part of the coaching staff.
Hudson is entering his first season as an assistant coach with the Steelers. Growing up in the Eastman area, Hudson played three seasons for the Steelers from 2010-2013 before receiving a scholarship to the University of Alaska Anchorage. After injuries forced a return home and year away from hockey, he played last season with the University of Manitoba Bisons. He is excited to be back with the Steelers organization.
