The Steelers struggled against the Pistons 8-3 in home game

The Selkirk Steelers' defense had a poor night, allowing the Steinbach Pistons 32 shots throughout the game. The Steinbach Pistons took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Mark Taraschuk and never looked back.

Brad Schoonbaert did his part, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Braden Purtill contributed with 2 goals.

In the first period, Worrad opened the scoring for Steinbach with a goal at 0:28 with helpers from teammates Schoonbaert and Gula. Tatro put in a goal at 3:33 with an assist from defenseman Graham. Purtill quickly followed with a goal at 4:14 with helpers from Gula and Heidemann. Schneider finally put the Steelers on the board with a goal at 8:15 with assists from his linemates, Barley and Barley. Dudek netted a goal at 12:04 with helpers from Middleton and Halvorsen. Taraschuk quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:39.

During the second period, Schoonbaert scored a goal at 9:28.

In the third, Schoonbaert put in a goal at 2:18 with an assist from Worrad. Johnson deposited a goal at 4:25. Lavoie answered for Selkirk with a goal at 16:15 with helpers from Labossiere and Dabb. Purtill answered for the Pistons with a goal at 19:51 with assists from Heidemann and Ireland.
