Steelers come up short in Back to Back

As of late, the Selkirk Steelers have been battling to find the back of the net for the Win category, not for a lack of effort.

The Stampeders came to town to put the Steelers to the test in back to back games over the weekend.

Friday night, the Steelers attacked early, holding on to a 2 – 0 lead coming out of the first period.
The second period however, the Stampeders came back and held on to a one goal lead and left with a game final of 3 – 2 victory after a scoreless third period.

Steelers goals were scored by; Caiden Gault ASST: Carter Barley.  Blake Burr ASST:  Tanner Pochipinski, Cole Wigestrand

Saturday Evening started out against the best interest, with the score sheet opening up for Steelers early in the second period after the Stampeders had already notched two for their side.

The entire second period was back and forth, each team scoring directly after the other and closing the period out with a 5 – 4 lead for the Stampeders.

Although Steelers were able to tie the game at 5 a piece with just over minute left in the third frame, the Stampeders were able to seal the deal with only :54 seconds left and close the game with a victory back to back victory.
