Steelers come up short to Pistons

What was hopeful to be a welcoming back to the ice win, after a well deserved Christmas break, turned out to be just shy of the mark.

The first period seemed to be all Pistons, as far as the score board would read, the game play however, was very much an end to end game for both sides.

Steelers would get on the board during the second period, bringing the score to a 1 goal game.

The third period, again, would be the Steelers only ones on the score board.

Through 3 on 3 overtime, there was no goals, this one would be decided in a shootout.  The Pistons would take the two points and the ‘W’.

Levi Mitchell was in net for this competition, preventing 40 of the 42 shots on net.

Goals by the Steelers were by; Caiden Gault ASST: Carter Barley, Blake Burr. Tanner Pochipinski ASST: Caiden Gault

Blake Burr received the ‘Player of the Month’, presented by Game Day Manager Jacqui Poirier
