Steelers eliminated in Game 6

Another game packed full of excitement and grit

Selkirk Steelers came out with the same drive they have had all series long.  Even though they were down by one game from the night before, they drove hard to the net when opportunity was given.

Virden would get 3 unanswered goals in the second period, giving them what could have been considered the final nail in the casket. Until midway through the 3rd period, when Brady Pupp put the Steelers only 2 goals on the board to mount what looked like a comeback.

The Steelers weren’t able to put in a tying goal and Virden took the win and series 4 – 2.

Zach Bennett, who was in net for the entire series, steered away 37 of the 40 shots that were taken against him.
