Tonight was the Tim Horton’s sponsored game at the Selkirk Recreational Centre. Steelers played host to the Neepawa Natives for their third competition against each other this season.
Steelers opened the scoring midway through the first period and that would stand as the only goal of the first.
Neepawa started the second period scoring within the first minute and that wouldn’t be followed up until midway when the Steelers tacked two more of their own on.
Steeler would hold on to the lead for a 5 – 2 victory.
Goaltender for the Steelers in this contest, was Austin Deboer, who stopped 14 of the 16 shots on net.
