Flyers close the doors

This contest was set to be an active one

Selkirk Steelers came out of the gates and were able to mount three goals before Winkler was able to capitalize and tie the game with three of their own, all within the first twenty minutes.

The second period did not disappoint, as there were as many goals as penalties.

Selkirk was able to leave the second period ahead of the Flyers by a goal, which was equalized early in the third.

Neither team would be able to solve each others goaltender again, until overtime, when Josh Kagan of the Winkler Flyers sent one passed the steadfast, Levi Mitchell

Levi Mitchell, goaltender for the duration of this competition, sent away 33 of 39 shots taken on net.
