Series 1 Game 5 Steelers VS Oil Capitals

There has certainly not been any lack of action throughout this series.

Steelers and Virden came into this competition with the series tied 2 – 2 and being so closely matched, it isn’t any wonder some of them have had to go to overtime to be decided.

Steelers were first to be marked on the score sheet with a goal by Ryan Piwniuk (ASST: Ryan Sokoloski and Noah Basarab), Virden however, added their own goal by Kolten Kanaski (ASST: Jayden Wojciechowski and Ben Dalke)  just 3 minutes later.

Virden would put 2 more goals on the board in the 3rd period, giving them the game win with a final score of 3 – 1 and series lead 3 – 2

Zach Bennett, who was in net for the Steelers, took on 28 shots and steering away 26 of them.

Game 6 is in Virden on March 17 with a puck drop of 7:30pm
