Steelers caged the Flyers

Selkirk Steelers came out of the gates this evening against the Winkler Flyers, at the end of a run of playing the 4th game in 5 days.

To start the evening off, #20 Nate Halvorsen, was awarded the MJHL player of the Month, by Game day Manager Lee-anne Simpson

After having little success over the weekend against the Stampeders, the Steelers tightened up, locked down the neutral zone and spend a majority of the game chewing up minutes in the Winkler Flyers end.

With much to speak of; Goaltender, Austin Deboer, played his second regular season game and stood tall while fending off all 26 shots that were taken against him. Deboer posted his first shutout with the Selkirk Steelers, this season.

Selkirk Steelers goals were scored by; Nate Halvorsen ASST: Colby Dudek, Ryan Sokoloski.  Brett Namaka ASST: Blake Burr, Brady Pupp
